Comparative and superlative forms

`~er`/`~est` on one-syllable adjectives, *more*/*the most* and *less*/*the least* on longer ones, the irregular *good–better–best* and *bad–worse–worst*, and the adverbs *fast*, *hard* and *late* that keep the `~er`/`~est` forms while most `~ly` adverbs do not.
